Christopher (Zimmerman?) Carpenter

Note: There are two lines of ancestry extant for Christopher . One gives an English ancestry, back from Oliver. The other, as typified by records of Linda York,< Linda_Crockett_york@verizon.net and posted 2 Feb 2005 at Ancestry.Com traces him back from Henry (Heinrich Zimmerman) Carpenter who came with brothers Emanuel and David from Germany. David went south and was never heard from again; Emanuel settled in Pennsylvania where descendants still reside. This is a compelling genealogy, based somewhat on the fact that Zimmerman is translated in English to Carpenter. The German ancestry is entered in these records without the connection through Christopher, until the evidence is weighed, and proven.
